Clyde Cycle Hub to Launch Bike Recycling Project in Bishopbriggs

Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire – A brand new local social enterprise, Clyde Cycle Hub, has announced plans to launch a bike recycling project in East Dunbartonshire. The initiative aims to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and provide affordable cycling options for the community.

The project will involve collecting donated bikes from local residents and recycling donation points. These bikes will then be refurbished by volunteers and trainees at the Clyde Cycle Hub workshop. Once repaired, the bikes will be made available for purchase at affordable prices, or donated to local charities and community groups.

By diverting bikes from landfill and offering them as a low-cost transportation option, Clyde Cycle Hub hopes to contribute to a more sustainable and accessible local area. The project will also provide training and employment opportunities for local people, helping to develop skills and boost the local economy.
